Hacking cars in Latin America
2016 May 28"Hackeando carros en Latinoamerica" is the title of a talk given by Jaime Restrepo (@DragonJAR). It's a fascinating talk about a lot of security flaws he found in Chevrolet vehicles. The funny thing is that everything started with a simple email, and from there everything escalated very quickly. It was really really bad.
Some weeks ago I was talking about this talk with a friend, a friend who knows very little Spanish and he said that he'd love to watch it. I told him that unfortunately as far as I knew it was only available in Spanish, but that I was going to ask if there were an English version or at least the Spanish version with English subtitles. And I did it:
@_camaya no, pero si nos colaboras los ponemos con gusto

And the answer was, no there wasn't.
So I decided to translate it myself. I added English subtitles to the YouTube video and now my friend or any of you can watch it at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD5FJIKGnjw
I hope you enjoy it and learn as much as I did.
Note: If you find any mistake in the subtitles (which I'm sure you'll do), please feel free to contribute directly on YouTube or contact me and I'll fix it.
Cheers.
